Sub-processors

Last updated: 20 September 2026

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run the SKOOLES platform. Each is bound by contract to protect personal data and to process it only on our instructions. This page is the list referenced by our Data Processing Agreement.

Current sub-processors

Where data is processed

Processing regions are not the same for every institution. They depend on the deployment an institution chooses and, where it applies, on its own data residency rules. The regions for an institution are fixed in its Data Processing Agreement before any data is loaded, and they do not change without notice. If you need the regions for a specific deployment before signing, email [email protected] and we will give them in writing.

On-premises deployment

Core SKOOLES services can be deployed on infrastructure controlled by the institution. Where that option is taken, the sub-processors above apply only to the components the institution chooses to enable.

This website

skooles.com is a marketing site, separate from the platform. It is hosted by SmarterASP.NET and served through Cloudflare. It holds no institutional or student data. The only personal data it receives is what you type into the contact, demo or support form, which is emailed to us and not stored on the site.

Development tools

Microsoft Azure DevOps holds our source control and deployment pipelines. It is not a sub-processor of institutional data: no production personal data is placed in it.

Changes

We will update this page before adding a new sub-processor that handles personal data, and institutions with a signed agreement will be notified so they have an opportunity to object. To be notified of changes, email [email protected].
