This policy sets out what is not permitted on the SKOOLES platform. It forms part of our Terms of Service and applies to every user, including staff of subscribing institutions.
You must not
- Use the platform to bully, harass, threaten, or abuse any person, or to share content that sexualises or endangers a child.
- Post or transmit unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or knowingly false content.
- Attempt to access data belonging to another user, class or institution, or to circumvent tenant isolation or permission checks.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the platform without our written permission, other than as permitted by our vulnerability reporting process.
- Introduce malware, or interfere with the availability or integrity of the service.
- Share account credentials, or allow an account to be used by someone it was not issued to.
- Extract data in bulk by automated means except through the export and API facilities provided for that purpose.
- Use the platform to send unsolicited commercial messages.
- Use AI features to generate content that is misleading, abusive, or presented as human-authored academic work in breach of your institution’s policies.
- Resell, sublicense or provide the platform as a service to a third party without our agreement.
Reporting a concern
Users should report misuse to their institution first, since the institution administers the tenant and can act immediately. Report serious concerns to us at [email protected]. Where a report concerns the immediate safety of a child, contact your local authorities as well; we will cooperate fully with a lawful request.
Enforcement
We may suspend an account or restrict access where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached, and we will notify the institution. Where the breach is serious or repeated we may terminate under the Terms of Service. We will act proportionately and we will explain our reasoning.
